Prescribing Policy

We continually monitor our prescribing to ensure patients are receiving the most effective and medically appropriate treatment. We work closely with our colleagues at NHS North Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group and their Medicines Management Team to make changes to either improve safety and quality or to reduce costs without affecting your treatment. Your medication will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Care Quality Commission (CQC)

We are very pleased with this report and it especially details that the staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to deliver effective care and treatment. We always have our patients best interests at heart and it is lovely to receive a report proving that this is effective.

See pdf below – Graham Road Surgery CQC February 2016.

Back in 2013 we had our first CQC inspection visit. This was a very positive experience for the practice. The inspectors were very helpful and gave the practice some very good feedback on small changes that we could make to improve our services.

The CQC inspected the following standards as part of a routine inspection, all of these were met.

  • Respecting and involving people who use services
  • Care and welfare of people who use services
  • Safeguarding people who use services from abuse
  • Supporting workers
  • Assessing and monitoring the quality of service provision
