There is a good guide on the NHS website which describes various conditions affecting children. There is advice on how to diagnose them, how to treat them and if further advice should be consulted, view NHS childhood illness here.

When your baby is born

Once you have your precious little bundle, we will send you a letter detailing the time and date of your postnatal and 6 week check for both you and your baby. This appointment takes around 30 minutes and covers all aspects of your care. This is the ideal time to speak up if you are having any concerns at all.

Children's Immunisation Schedule

Once this check is complete, your baby will begin their immunisations schedule. You will automatically receive notifications of when your child is due their vaccinations. To find out when they are due, please click here to view the NHS Immunisation Schedule.

When Should I Worry?

Having an ill child can be a very scary experience for parents. If you understand more about the illness it can help you to feel more in control. This booklet is for parents (and older children) and deals with common infections in children who are normally healthy.
